John Thornley’s second speak within the Icons of Rock Vinyl sequence is on the life and music of Bob Dylan.
9 tracks will probably be performed, spanning Dylan’s 57 years of music-making, from 1963 to 2020.
9 years in the past on Could 24, 2011, Thornley organised a multimedia celebration of Bob Dylan’s 70th birthday.
Thornley appeared with bluesmen Shayn Hurricane Wills and Bullfrog Rata, the Michelle Robinson dancers, and Hugh Dingwall of Manawatū Individuals’s Radio screened footage on to the again wall of the Globe Theatre.
This 12 months’s songs cowl a myriad of adjusting rock music types – acoustic folks, electrical folkrock, nation, soul and gospel – for which Dylan so usually acted as Pied Piper, main musicians and followers into new territory.
