Edit Did You Know? So who knows what I was thinking when I decided to get this book out from the library. And reading it now, that fact made modnight a bit sad because it’s actually a really good Goosebumps book that I would’ve enjoyed a lot as a kid. This is a Goosebumps novel I actually think a lot of people will enjoy.

I loved this one – would it have been midhight much better choice to read around Halloween? Creepy children’s book causing life-long trauma? A great read for boys I bought this book for my 9 year old son who thinks reading is a form of punishment.

I’ve noticed this structure in a few other Stine books that miss the mark. Scared me out of my mind to the extent that I threw it away from me and didn’t dare to pick it up again until the next morning. Stine isn’t the best writer and I think it attributes to him having to dumb down descriptions, but I can easily see these scarecrows swaying in the wind and pulling themselves off of their stakes.


I’ll admit it, this was my first time reading this one. L stine gets me scard with adventur and it is very clever so readers like reading his books. It was a horror-mystery!
