If the book does make it to the big screen, I expect it will be an excellent one and I”d gladly see it. The story of Thirrin and Oskan was interesting and it was a good version of the teenager suddenly ruling a kingdom.

Made me think of another loved book: Full of action, adventure, romance, drama and many others, readers would totally love! The army cannot take the city despite the military genius of their commander. The story seems to tease you with possible sub-plots of the rather aloof and let’s face it, just completely absent thoughts of the Basilea, Thirrin’s aunt, but it’s then tossed away as the plot hurries on and on to rather repetitive descriptions of battle scenes that really aren’t as exciting or sitting-on-the-edge-of-the-seat as one would hope.

crh There could have been more time spent in this book. It means that the Icemark is currently suffering in agony that’s why they’re crying in pain and Thirrin, as a princess, is someone who can save her kingdom from the conquerors. She was arrogant, childish in all aspects but war, full of herself and antagonistic to anyone else who had some semblance of authority and of the female persuasion. I give it this rating because throughout the book there is a interesting event happening so I just wanted to keep reading it and I couldn’t stop sometimes. The kingdom is being invaded by Roman-like soldiers. I loved iceamrk werewolves and the snow leopards, both groups having a ton of personality. It was good to see him reading and enjoying the book and it is one I have recommended to friends with daughters as well just because it is rare to see such a positive female role model allowed to sit at the very centre oof a high adventure fantasy novel.
