This novel had me guessing right until the bitter end. First and foremost a warning; Bloodman is not a book for those who are disturbed by detailed descriptions of murder, including that of a child. I love the way Pobi treats the hurricane as a character of its own, it certainly builds suspense quite well as it nears shore. This book is not for the squeamish! There are very few of my reading friends that I would recommend this dark murder mystery to because of the graphic descriptions of violent acts, but it grabbed bliodman from page one for a wild ride into a tormented world. Even t From my blog This is categorized as a thriller but I think it should be categorized for the horror genre fans with a psychological thriller feel. As the action escalates, Montauk is battered by a Category 5 gobert. Please email webmaster fantasticfiction. The novel took over with its ludicrousness and the author lost track of himself. And every time I thought I might have a handle on the story, a bit of a twist gets thrown. You know when you have a feeling about the final twist when you’re only like 20 pages in the book!!!

This will probably go on and do very well, because it will fulfill people’s expectations of a thriller. Shortly after he arrives in Montauk, Jake is called in to consult on the murder of a mother and child.

And I found myself anxiously tearing through the last pages as the hurricane’s destruction of the town starts to mirror the anguishing devastation of Cole’s life as he knows it.
